Mumbai, Dec 9 (NationPress) The teaser for Sonu Sood's upcoming film ‘Fateh’ was revealed on Monday, and the actor-director emphasized that the core of the movie lies in its innovative action.
“The affection I’ve received from the public over the years is remarkable, and it’s that support I’m relying on as the teaser of ‘Fateh’ finally premieres,” Sonu mentioned in a statement.
He shared the reasons why this film holds significance for him.
“This film is profoundly important to me – not just because it marks my debut as a director but also as it addresses the pressing issue that many overlook: the concealed, sinister forces of the cyber realm.”
He further stated: “The core of the film is its innovative action that unfolds in an ultimate battle between the real world and the virtual one. This film is dedicated to all the heroes who bravely confront challenges that many of us remain oblivious to.”
The plot revolves around a former special ops agent who probes a cybercrime syndicate after a young woman becomes a victim of a scam. Sood, who takes on the lead role, is joined by Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah.
According to variety.com, the production boasts action sequences choreographed by Hollywood professionals, including fight coordinator Federico Berte, known for ‘Cobra Kai’, and action director/stunt coordinator Lee Whittaker, recognized for ‘Captain Marvel’.
The film's glimpses promise action-packed cinema, featuring daring stunts, sleek cyber visuals, and a narrative that aims to unravel the escalating threat of cybersecurity breaches.
Sonu gained fame through his performances in films like ‘Dabangg,’ ‘Happy New Year,’ and ‘Kung Fu Yoga.’ He garnered widespread attention for his humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitating transportation and medical support for thousands of migrant workers.
On December 5, he expressed that his directorial debut ‘Fateh’ is a tribute to every hero who stands up against adversity.
Discussing the film, Sonu shared, “Embarking on the director’s journey for the first time with ‘Fateh’ has been a labor of love and intent. This action saga highlights the hidden struggles waged in the shadows of the digital landscape. I’m excited that the teaser of ‘Fateh’ is now available for audiences watching ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in theaters.”
He added, “It’s a sneak peek into a world we’ve dedicated ourselves to crafting, and I eagerly await for viewers to feel the excitement, the emotions, and the sheer intensity of ‘Fateh’.
