Mumbai, Jan 2 (NationPress) In anticipation of the release of his new film ‘Fateh’, actor Sonu Sood made a visit to Shirdi to seek divine blessings.
The actor documented his spiritual experience on social media. In the images that emerged online, Sonu is captured standing with his hands folded at the revered Shirdi temple, deeply engaged in prayer. Prior to this, he also paid homage at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
‘Fateh’ represents Sonu Sood’s debut as a director and features a talented cast including Jacqueline Fernandez, Naseeruddin Shah, and Vijay Raaz.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the actor expressed that portraying a character of an everyday individual with concealed strength and resolve offered him a new perspective on personal development and self-esteem.
Sonu remarked, “I believe Fateh was my dream role, one I’ve always aspired to portray: a regular person who harbors a superhero within. I contend that every person, every average individual, possesses a superhero inside them. You merely need to unveil that. I’m thrilled that with Fateh, I was able to reveal that aspect of myself. I hope that when audiences view it, they not only find entertainment in the narrative but also feel inspired.”
When queried about the significance of Fateh to him, the ‘Simmba’ actor declared, “I believe true Fateh is not about wealth, fame, or power. We all possess those qualities, but sometimes, being someone’s beacon of hope means everything. It’s about those who leave their hometowns in Punjab or Uttar Pradesh believing that reaching out to someone will transform their lives. That’s what genuine Fateh embodies—transforming someone’s existence.”
Produced by Umesh KR Bansal from Zee Studios and Sonali Sood of Shakti Sagar Productions, and co-produced by Ajay Dhama, Fateh is a compelling story of bravery, resilience, and the battle against cybercrime, set to premiere on January 10.
