Mumbai, Nov 2 (NationPress) The iconic Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is observing his milestone 60th birthday on Sunday but has opted out of his traditional fan gathering.

The actor, who celebrated his special day in Alibaug with close friends from the film industry, took to his X account, previously known as Twitter, to express his regret to his fans for not attending the fan meet.

He stated, "I have been advised by the authorities that I cannot step out to meet all you wonderful people who have been eagerly waiting for me.

My heartfelt apologies to each of you, but it’s been communicated that this decision is for the safety of everyone due to crowd control concerns."

He went on to say, "Thank you for your understanding, and trust me, I will miss seeing you even more than you will miss me. I was really looking forward to meeting all of you and spreading love. Love you all!"

Given the recent rise in mafia attacks in the city, law enforcement has recommended that SRK remain out of the public eye, as large crowds could provide opportunities for potential threats against him.

In a remarkable achievement, SRK recently received his first National Award just before his 60th birthday, sharing the honor with actor Vikrant Massey at the 71st National Awards for Best Actor. While SRK was celebrated for his role in the blockbuster ‘Jawan’, Massey was recognized for his performance in ‘12th Fail’.

The awards were presented by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. This marked a significant milestone as it is the first National Award for both actors, but especially for SRK, as it is his first award after over three decades in the industry.

SRK is not only one of India’s most celebrated actors but also a global Bollywood sensation. Often referred to as the “King of Bollywood”, he has appeared in more than 80 films across various genres including romance, action, and drama. His widespread appeal is attributed to his versatile performances, magnetic screen presence, and his proactive engagement with international audiences through tours and social media platforms. He has received numerous international accolades, including UNESCO’s Pyramide con Marni Award, L’Etoile d’Or by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Wissame Al Kafaa Al Fikria, Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur, and the Padma Shri in 2005.

Additionally, the title of SRK's forthcoming film 'King' was revealed on Sunday in celebration of his birthday. The megastar showcased his striking silver hair in the title reveal video, setting the stage for yet another blockbuster following 'Jawan'.
