Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 23 (NationPress) Acclaimed filmmaker Subhash Ghai recently reflected on his admiration for change and how it continually influences his perspective on life and artistic expression.
He stated: “I embrace change and it inspires me to appreciate it. BE IT A - time, technology, people, viewpoints, profession, cinema, entertainment, education, theatre, myself, even my portrait, I wake up thrilled every day. Flow like a river. Cherish people and the universe through change. Pursue what you love, and love what you pursue (sic).”
Subhash Ghai, who made his directorial debut in 1976 with the film Kalicharan, featuring Shatrughan Sinha, has delivered numerous box-office successes including Karz (1980), Krodhi (1981), Hero (1983), Meri Jung (1985), Karma (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989), Trimurti (1995), Pardes (1997), Taal (1999), and Yaadein (2001).

On March 21, Ghai reminisced about his initial role as an actor in the 1967 film Taqdeer, alongside Bharat Bhushan, Shalini Mardolkar, Farida Jalal, and Johnny Walker.
Taqdeer narrates the story of a struggling widow who reluctantly marries a man she disdains for the sake of her children's future.
He recalled that he and Jalal Agha, both young talents from The Pune Film Institute, were cast in minor roles.
Ghai shared a nostalgic caption: “IT WAS MY FIRST FILM AS AN ACTOR IN 1967... Yes, it was produced by RAJSHREE production and me and Jalal Agha were chosen for brief young roles in the movie #TAQDEER. Can you identify me in this picture? I never anticipated where my taqdeer would lead me in the film industry... I feel blessed today. Thank you all (sic).”
