Has PM Modi Inspired a Positive Shift in Citizens’ Mindset Over 11 Years?

Mumbai, June 7 (NationPress) Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has expressed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only steered the nation towards development but is also instigating a transformation in the mindset of its citizens, contributing to the country’s comprehensive growth.

Reflecting on the upcoming 11-year milestone of Modi's administration, Ghai reminisced about creating the film ‘Kanchi’ over a decade ago, where he envisioned a brighter India.

He remarked, “11 years ago, I produced a film titled ‘Kanchi’. For the film’s climax, we penned a song, ‘Saare jahan se accha, wo Hindustan kahan hai?’. It posed the question, ‘Is this nation truly better than the entire world?’. Back then, there was a prevailing sense of despair, which drove us to create that song.”

Ghai elaborated on how the Modi government advocated for change in 2014, stating, “When a new government emerged, there was resistance to the idea of substantial change. Upon Modi’s arrival, I realized he was not merely focused on the country’s development; he sought to reshape the public’s thinking and transform the national ethos. This resonated with me, and I decided to be patient.”

He continued, “We now have a Prime Minister who shares this vision. From what I have observed over the past 11 years—and what you have witnessed as well—there has been notable progress at various levels, including infrastructure, technology, and defense. Every few years, there’s visible growth. This is a government with a vision extending beyond five years, aiming for 2047. A government with long-term foresight can operate effectively. I am thrilled that today, our national character reflects patriotism.”

Moreover, he mentioned that citizens have grown increasingly patriotic and prepared to defend the nation against any adversary.

He stated, “No adversary can challenge us. We are secure now. Changes have occurred in our education system, and children’s perspectives have evolved. This government aspires to elevate our nation to an international pinnacle. As a child, I believed we were a nation of cyclists, impoverished despite our rich resources.”

He deemed the government’s achievements under Modi’s leadership as highly “commendable.”

Discussing the altered perceptions of Indians abroad, he noted, “Whenever I travel internationally, the respect we receive as Indians—whether in America, Europe, or elsewhere—is unparalleled compared to the past. Previously, we were viewed as impoverished individuals. Now, we are recognized not just as consumers but also as producers. This progress across all sectors deserves immense credit to our Prime Minister Modi and his government.”
