Chennai, Oct 14 (NationPress) Actor Sundeep Kishan, who takes on the lead role in director Mallik Ram's unconventional comedy Telugu series 'Super Subbu', expresses his belief that narratives like this are essential.

The series, set to debut on Netflix, centers around a man who unexpectedly finds himself responsible for teaching sex education to a remote village, despite lacking any qualifications for the role!

Sundeep Kishan states, "We are in a remarkable storytelling era where tales are bolder, more expressive, and resonate with our lives. Upon hearing the narration of 'Super Subbu', I felt it presented an untold truth that would resonate with audiences. These narratives deserve to be shared, and I am thrilled to be part of it. The concept is refreshingly unique, celebrating the beauty in life's simple moments. The character energy and humor within the script breathe life into the show, leaving smiles on viewers' faces."

Director Mallik Ram adds, "Super Subbu was inspired by a simple observation that discussions around sex education are often conducted in hushed tones even today. Parents shy away from the topic, schools neglect it, and children grow up surrounded by myths. I aimed to transform this silence into a relatable story, situated in a village that mirrors anyone's home. Through Subramanyam, we witness the blend of innocence and awareness, showcasing how humor can facilitate challenging discussions, making the uncomfortable easier to address. The residents of Maakhipur, with their quirks, superstitions, and warmth, represent the villages many of us are familiar with. At its core, 'Super Subbu' is a tale about community, family, and discovering courage in the most unexpected places."

Alongside Sundeep Kishan, the series includes Mithila Palkar and Murali Sharma in critical roles.

Mithila Palkar shares her thoughts, "Super Subbu is a charming blend of humor, emotions, and familial connections. It follows Subbu, a hapless young man chasing his ambitions while navigating the realities of small-town life and a strict father. His journey leads him to a rural setting where he confronts a seldom-discussed subject, particularly in such environments. The series intertwines love, ambition, and self-discovery within a quirky and refreshing narrative. The characters are relatable, and the storyline is unique.
