In a January post, Sussanne expressed gratitude to her mother for the genes that have contributed to her identity.
While vacationing in Phuket with close friends and family, Sussanne shared that she feels her mother's presence wherever she goes.

Zarine Khan passed away on November 7 last year at the age of 81 due to health complications related to aging.
She is survived by her husband, Sanjay Khan, and children—Zayed Khan, Sussanne Khan, Farah Khan Ali, and Simone Arora.
