Los Angeles, June 28 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Katy O’Brian experienced a punch from Sydney Sweeney during the filming of their boxing scenes for the upcoming biopic centered around boxer Christy Martin. The actress expressed that she "felt good" receiving the punch from her co-star.

Sweeney portrays Martin, who was a prominent female boxer in the 1990s, according to ‘Variety’.

Katy plays another boxer in the film. For the role, Sweeney gained 30 pounds. Earlier this year, she shared with W magazine, "My body was completely different. I didn’t fit into any of my clothes. I usually wear a size 23 in jeans, and I was in a size 27. My bust increased, and my backside got huge. It was surreal! I was like, ‘Oh my god’".

She continued, "But it was incredible: I felt so strong, like unbelievably strong".

Katy remarked to ‘Variety’ during an event for the A24 premiere of the new Ari Aster film ‘Eddington’ in West Hollywood, stating, "I got punched several times. It felt good. It was awesome. It better look good on film".

According to ‘Variety’, she mentioned that it did "not feel good" to have to strike Sweeney. "Even with the extra 30 pounds, I would still have a weight advantage of 20 to 30 pounds over her, so it never feels great", Katy explained. "But she didn’t seem to mind at all".

Sweeney requested to keep things under control, saying, "I was just like, ‘Please, don’t break my nose’. I had to do ‘The Running Man’ immediately afterward", Katy recounted. "She was like, ‘If you break my nose, that’s totally fine’".

Martin's professional boxing career spanned from 1989 to 2012, during which she became the world champion in the super welterweight division in 2009. In 2010, she survived a murder attempt by her husband, James Martin, who stabbed her multiple times and shot her at their home in Florida. He was found guilty of attempted second-degree murder in 2012 and received a 25-year prison sentence.
