Mumbai, March 14 (NationPress) Actor Taha Shah Badussha, known for portraying Tajdar Baloch in the web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, opened up about his most unforgettable Holi experience.

The actor shared with IANS that a memorable moment involved an unplanned dance-off with strangers after being soaked in vibrant Holi colors.

Reflecting on this, he mentioned, “Holi is one of those rare occasions where everyone just lets go and embraces the chaos in the best way possible. I think the craziest moment for me was getting completely drenched in colors and then ending up in an impromptu dance battle with complete strangers. There’s something incredible about the festival; no matter who you are, for that one day, everyone is just celebrating life together.”

Taha further discussed his favorite treats during the festival, stating, “I love traditional Holi delicacies, gujiyas, dahi bhallas, malpuas, and of course, thandai. The flavors of Holi evoke a sense of nostalgia and warmth. If I had to choose one, it would definitely be thandai—especially when it’s homemade, with the perfect blend of spices and sweetness.”

He also recounted his experience of trying to make gujiyas in the kitchen, saying, “I’ve been a very enthusiastic assistant in the kitchen! I once attempted to make gujiyas, but let’s just say they didn’t turn out to be the perfect crescents they were meant to be. However, the joy of being in the kitchen with family, laughing over imperfect shapes and sneaking bites, is what truly makes it special.”

When discussing his preparations for diving into the Holi festivities, Taha shared, “Minimal prep, maximum enjoyment. I ensure to apply a good layer of oil to avoid spending the next three days scrubbing off colors! More than that, it’s about living in the moment; Holi is about celebrating without reservations, and that’s exactly how I approach it.”

He further reflected, “Holika Dahan has always been a moment of introspection and renewal for me. Watching the fire burn, feeling its warmth, and taking a moment to release negativity—it’s quite symbolic. As a child, my friends and I would gather around, listen to stories about its significance, and later roast corn and potatoes in the embers. Those simple moments make festivals truly special.”

“Holi is a beautiful reminder that colors, joy, and togetherness transcend everything else. It’s a festival that unites people, and that’s what makes it truly magical,” he concluded.
