Mumbai, July 2 (NationPress) Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has been cast as the antagonist in the highly anticipated "Special Ops 2".

Bhasin shared insights on which of his co-stars made a significant impact on him.

Discussing his experience working alongside the talented and seasoned Kay Kay Menon, Bhasin expressed that being trusted to perform opposite Menon is not just a compliment but also a considerable challenge.

"I have admired his performances as both a protagonist and antagonist since childhood. His subtlety, sarcasm, and sternness as Himmat Singh are qualities that audiences appreciate and expect. The goal was to depict a counterpart with a sense of understated ease and wit that would enhance the show's conflict," Bhasin elaborated.

When reflecting on the lessons learned from Menon, Bhasin stated, "I have gained invaluable insights both on and off the set from Kay Kay sir. His patience and minimalism are traits I aspire to adopt. His life experiences lead to enriching discussions."

Menon will reprise his iconic role as the R&AW officer Himmat Singh in the second season of this beloved series.

Speaking about his portrayal of a brave and intelligent officer, Menon remarked, "Himmat Singh has always fought with determination, intellect, and instinct. However, this season, the war is not overt. The stakes are elevated, and the threats are increasingly unpredictable, making this season highly relevant and personal to portray. Himmat carries a quiet burden of duty, sacrifice, and unspoken knowledge. This chapter allowed me to delve into not just the strategist but also the man behind the mission—the father, the patriot, the ever-present protector."

Directed by Shivam Nair, the series will feature Prakash Raj, Vinay Pathak, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, and Kali Prasad Mukherjee in key roles, among others.

"Special Ops 2" is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar starting July 11th.
