In a public statement, she requested the media to stop disseminating such information and confirmed that her team is investigating the issue to take necessary action. Various reports have indicated that the actress is linked to a Rs 2.4 crore cryptocurrency fraud case in Puducherry.

Disputing these claims, Tamannaah stated, “I have noticed that rumors are being spread regarding my involvement with cryptocurrency. I kindly ask my friends in the media not to propagate any such false, misleading, and fabricated reports. My team is currently investigating this matter to take appropriate action.”

On Friday, it was reported that the 'Baahubali' actress and Kajal Aggarwal could be questioned by Puducherry Police concerning the fraud case. Reports state that a complaint was lodged by Puducherry resident Ashokan, who alleged that a Coimbatore-based company swindled him and 10 others out of ₹2.4 crore after convincing them to invest in a cryptocurrency scheme.

The complainant mentioned that he attended the company's launch event in 2022, where Tamannaah was present, followed by another event in Mahabaleshwar attended by Kajal. The police have reportedly sought clarification from the actresses, although no official statement has been provided by the authorities.

According to reports, investors at the event were allegedly gifted cars valued between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 1 crore. These extravagant gifts raised suspicions regarding the legitimacy of the investment scheme, leading many to question the authenticity of the company.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Tamannaah's latest appearance was in the Netflix film “Sikandar Ka Mukaddar,” where she starred alongside Avinash Tiwary and Jimmy Sheirgill. She is next set to feature in the horror thriller “Odela 2,” portraying the character of a sadhvi.
