Mumbai, Oct 5 (NationPress) Choreographer Terence Lewis has candidly discussed his choice to stay single and explained why marriage is not part of his future plans.
Renowned for his straightforwardness, Lewis addressed the ongoing interest in his personal life, emphasizing that he is content and happy without the commitment of marriage. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Terence stated that the 'expiry date' for marriage in his life has long passed, stating he is now 'off the marriage shelf.' The talented dancer expressed that he finds genuine happiness in being single and sees no reason to complicate his life with marriage.
When probed about any wedding aspirations, Terence joked that he wouldn’t want to make another person’s life complicated after learning from his own experiences. He remarked, 'Hum se toh na ho paega, yeh expiry date ho chuka hai, now I'm off the shelf, marriage shelf. I'm very happy being single and I think kyu kisi ki life barbaad karna hai, maine khud ki apni life barbaad kari chuka hu. So, I think one person miserable is better than two.'
Recently, Terence took center stage as the showstopper for designers Vishal and Sona Thawani, thoroughly enjoying the experience of walking the ramp as a groom. He shared how special it was to wear the groom’s attire and be part of the grand showcase, noting that the walk was not solely about fashion but also about embodying the emotions and grace of a groom.
On the work front, Terence Lewis, celebrated for his impressive choreography in Bollywood films like 'Lagaan,' 'Jhankaar Beats,' and 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela,' has a rich portfolio beyond cinema. He has crafted choreography for a variety of stage shows, Indian contemporary dance performances, corporate events, Broadway and West-End musicals, as well as music videos and feature films.
Notably, he was the first Indian to earn the prestigious Dance Web Europe Scholarship, representing India in Vienna, Austria. In addition to choreography, Terence has displayed his versatility on television — he was a contestant on 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3' and was most recently seen as a judge on 'India’s Best Dancer Season 3' in 2023. He also returned as a judge on the dance reality show 'India's Best Dancer Season 4.'
