On the 10th, a part of me died too — only one of us stopped breathing. How unfair.. The void is unbearable. Nothing feels the same anymore. Home doesn't feel like home,' she wrote.

She also recalled the afternoon of 9 June, just a day before Bruno's passing, when the two had taken photographs together. 'Just a day before, on the afternoon of the 9th, we were happily taking pictures together. Who would have thought those would be the last photos we'd ever take?' she wrote, adding that she wished she had held him longer and kissed him more had she known what was to come.

Twelve Years Together

Dattaa described Bruno as her 'first child' and 'sunshine boy,' noting that the two had shared 12.5 years together. She wrote of how, even in his final days, Bruno's favourite place was in her arms — and that her embrace seemed to ease his pain and lull him to sleep. 'As if my arms were your safest place,' she recalled.

In a closing message addressed directly to Bruno, she wrote: 'I hope wherever you are, you're free from pain, running happy, smiling that same beautiful smile. And I hope you know that you were, and always will be, the greatest love of my life.'
