Mumbai, April 11 (NationPress) Actress Bhumi Pednekkar celebrated National Pet Day this Saturday by sharing heartwarming moments with her beloved pets, Beau and Bruno, on social media. She expressed that individuals who have never felt the affection of a pet are truly missing out on a significant part of life.

Offering a glimpse into the unconditional love, chaos, and joy her furry companions bring, the star of 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' shared on her official Instagram, "My babies - Beau and Bruno, happy National Pet Day... If you haven’t felt the love of dogs, you’re really missing out. Unconditional love, chaos, and just good vibes. We exist in their world (sic)."

In the first image from the post, Bhumi is seen snuggling with one of her furry friends in bed. A following video showcases her pet peacefully sleeping on her lap.

The post concludes with a clip where one of her pets gazes at the 'Badhaai Do' actress, seemingly requesting to be picked up by her. However, Bhumi humorously declines, stating, "You literally just got off my lap!"

Known for her candidness, Bhumi has openly shared her concerns about the dwindling representation of women-led narratives in mainstream cinema.

She believes that while the opportunities for women-led stories are contracting in traditional cinema, the emergence of OTT platforms has created more substantial and meaningful roles for female actors.

“With the rise of OTT, the narrative space for women has become much stronger, as many of those shows and films are led by women, which seems to be diminishing in mainstream cinema,” Bhumi, who launched her film career in the unconventional 2015 film “Dum Laga Ke Haisha,” explained.

“It’s really disheartening to witness this trend,” Bhumi added.
