Mumbai, July 8 (NationPress) Renowned playback singer Udit Narayan, a dominant figure in Bollywood during the 1990s, has recently recorded the title track for his latest film.
In an interview with IANS, Narayan expressed that the song, titled ‘Maine Pyar Kiya Phir Se’, is rich in melody, a quality that has become increasingly rare in today’s Bollywood landscape.
He further elaborated on the film's soundtrack, stating, “All the songs are penned by our producer Rony, with the musical score composed by Dilip Sen and Samir Sen. My solo track is complete, and today, the title song was recorded. The title is not just beautiful; the music is equally enchanting. The film features an excellent cast, including Dharam sir and Arbaaz Khan, which promises great quality.”
Narayan described the song he recorded as a romantic sad track that is exceptionally beautiful. He emphasized that all the songs in the film are melodious, asserting that melody is what will endure in the music industry.
He remarked, “Melody never fades away. It is always eternal. Every song in this film is melodious. Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen have contributed music to numerous top films. After many years, they have a significant film to work on, and they will undoubtedly pour their hearts into it.”
In addition, he addressed the ongoing controversy in Maharashtra regarding the Hindi and Marathi languages. He stated, “As an artist, my job is to entertain people in my workplace, Mumbai. Learning Marathi is essential when working in Maharashtra. However, all languages across our nation hold importance.”
The last few weeks have witnessed significant mobilization among Marathi locals following the state government's decision to make Hindi a compulsory third language in schools as of April this year.
The State Council of Educational Research and Training has incorporated this provision in the state School Curriculum Framework-2024.
Interestingly, estranged cousins Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have even reunited after three decades to challenge the imposition of Hindi in the state.
Recently, the Maharashtra government retracted its decision, with School Education Minister Dada Bhuse announcing that Hindi will now be offered as an optional subject, prioritizing Marathi and English.
The recent uproar arises from violent actions taken by MNS workers against individuals in Mumbai and Pune who refuse to communicate in Marathi.
