Urmila Matondkar: As December Arrives, It's Time to Unwind and Organize

Mumbai. Dec 20 (NationPress) Actress Urmila Matondkar emphasizes that it's the perfect moment to unwind and organize as December unfolds.

Urmila shared a serene image of herself meditating in a park on Instagram, expressing that inviting inner peace is the finest way to welcome the New Year.

In her caption, she wrote: “Good morning beautiful people… As we embrace De-cember, it’s time to Destress and Declutter. What better method to prepare for a new year than to cultivate inner peace and connect with your body and soul on a profound level?”

“Feel Gratitude and Goodness that surrounds us. Stay Grateful, Empathetic, Kind, and Positive at all times (sic).”

Urmila began her journey as a child actress in the 1977 film Karm. She garnered attention with Masoom in 1983. Her initial lead role was in the Malayalam film Chanakyan (1989), followed by her first lead in Hindi cinema with Narsimha in 1991. She rose to immense fame with Ram Gopal Verma's romantic drama, the 1995 blockbuster Rangeela.

She later appeared in films like “Judaai”, “Satya”, “Khoobsurat”, “Jungle”, “Thacholi Varghese Chekavar”, “Antham”, “Gaayam”, “Indian”, “Kaun”, “Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya”, “Bhoot”, “Ek Hasina Thi”, “Pinjar”, and “Bas Ek Pal”.

Urmila has also served as a talent judge on several dance reality shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2007) and DID Super Moms (2022).

Her most recent appearance was in the 2014 Marathi film titled “Ajoba”, directed by Sujay Dahake. Allegedly based on real events, it narrates the extraordinary 29-day journey of a leopard from Malshej Ghat to Mumbai.

“Ajoba” was rescued from a well, outfitted with a tracking device before being released back into the wild. He traveled to Mumbai across the Sahyadris, covering a distance of 120 kilometers (75 miles).
