Chennai, Mar 5 (NationPress) The creators of director Ilango Ram's forthcoming comedy film 'Perusu' have humorously revealed through a funny promo that their movie has received an 'A' certificate from the censor board.

Produced by director Karthik Subbaraj's production company, Stone Bench, the film stars Vaibhav and Niharika in lead roles.

Taking to X, director Karthik Subbaraj stated, “So #Perusu gets an 'A' certificate.... And I got on a Zoom Call .. #PerusufromMarch14.”

The amusing promo opens with actor Vaibhav initiating a video call on Zoom, complaining that no one is taking responsibility for the film's 'A' certificate and that neither the production house nor the producer is answering his calls.

Heroine Niharika is the first to join the call, and after several comical exchanges, Vaibhav mentions, “Our film has received an A certificate, did you know?” She responds that she is aware but questions why the film was rated A since everything apart from the premise seems clean.

“No violence, no blood, no vulgarity either. Then why did they give us an A certificate?” she inquires, to which Vaibhav humorously replies, “When I am acting, there is no vulgarity.”

The film's producer, Kaarthekayan Santhanam, then joins the call, and Vaibhav poses the same question to him. The producer answers, “You acted in this film. Don’t you know why?” He further states that their movie is “The first Indian clean family adult entertainer” and expresses satisfaction with the 'A' rating, deeming it the correct approach.

Sunil Reddy joins the call next, followed by Karthik Subbaraj. Producer Kaarthekayan Santhanam elaborates that the film has a runtime of two hours and five minutes and that the characters will reflect real-life personas. “However, the reason for the A certificate remains a suspense,” he indicates, emphasizing that it is a clean, humorous film suitable for anyone over 18.

In addition to Vaibhav, Niharika, and Sunil Reddy, the film will also feature Redin Kingsly, Chandni, and Bala Saravanan, among others.

The musical score is composed by Arun Raj, while Sundaramurthy K S handles the background music. The cinematography is managed by Sathya Thilakam, and editing is done by Sooriya Kumaraguru. The film is set to release on March 14 this year.
