Chennai, April 18 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted a U/A certificate for the highly anticipated action film 'Kara', directed by Vignesh Raja and starring Dhanush in the principal role.
Vels Film International, the film's production company, announced on their X timeline, "#KaraGetsUA Get ready for the #KaraPreReleaseEvent tomorrow. #KaraFromApril30 helmed by @vigneshraja89 and produced by @IshariKGanesh. The music will be by @gvprakash."
The film is scheduled for a global launch on April 30 this year.
It's worth noting that the title was revealed during Pongal this year, accompanied by a gripping poster showcasing Dhanush in an intense avatar. The tagline on the poster reads, "Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive."
The cast features various actors in significant roles. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead as Selli, while renowned director K S Ravikumar portrays Kandhasaami in 'Kara'.
Additionally, Jayaram takes on the role of Muthu Selvan, Karunas plays Kasi Maayan, and Suraj Venjaramoodu is set to play Bharathan.
Last year, the production house shared a behind-the-scenes image of Dhanush on social media, captioned, "Straight from the sets of #D54 - Shoot in progress! @dhanushkraja," showing him in an STD booth.
'Kara' promises to deliver a strong narrative supported by a talented cast and crew.
In addition to Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, the film will feature K S Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in key roles.
On the technical side, the cinematography is managed by the highly regarded Theni Eswar, with editing by Sreejith Sarang. The score is composed by National Award winner G V Prakash.
