Chennai, March 25 (NationPress) Following the revelation of character names and appearances for Mamitha Baiju, director K S Ravikumar, and actor Suraj Venjaramoodu in Vignesh Raja's forthcoming action film 'Kara', which stars Dhanush in the lead role, the production team unveiled actor Karunas's portrayal as Kasi Maayan on Wednesday, much to the excitement of fans and cinema enthusiasts.

The film's creators also shared the first look poster of the actor in this role on the same occasion.

Earlier on Wednesday, the initial look poster of actor Suraj Venjaramoodu as Bharathan was released.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that actress Mamitha Baiju, who plays the female lead, will portray Selli in the film. Additionally, director K S Ravikumar will feature as Kandhasaami in 'Kara'.

It is noteworthy that the film's title was announced during Pongal this year, accompanied by a poster showcasing Dhanush in an intense appearance, stating, "Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive."

Some time ago, the production house shared a still of Dhanush from the film, noting, "Straight from the sets of #D54 - Shoot in progress! @dhanushkraja." This image depicted Dhanush conversing from an STD booth.

The film features a robust cast alongside a talented technical team.

In addition to Dhanush and Mamitha Baiju, the film includes director K S Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in significant roles.

From a technical perspective, cinematography is led by the esteemed Theni Eswar, while editing is handled by Sreejith Sarang. The musical score is composed by National Award winner G V Prakash.

Importantly, the film's narrative has been co-written by Alfred Prakash and director Vignesh Raja, who previously worked together on the critically acclaimed investigative thriller 'Por Thozhil'.

Writer Alfred Prakash, who shares a close friendship with director Vignesh Raja, revealed in a past interview that their collaborative writing process allows them to effectively bounce ideas off each other.

The duo took four years to finalize the script for 'Por Thozhil' and believe that co-writing enhances creativity, allowing each writer to serve as a sounding board for the other.
