Mumbai, Sep 30 (NationPress) Actor Varun Dhawan shared a delightful glimpse of his Durga Ashtami festivities on social media this Tuesday.

On Instagram, the star of ‘Bawaal’ posted a series of images featuring him joyfully seated on the floor among a group of children. In the first photo, Varun is seen happily posing with them following the Kanjak Puja. He was also seen savoring halwa and puri prasad alongside the kids. In his caption, he simply expressed, “Happy Durga Ashtami #bestmeal.”

Currently, Varun is engaged in promoting his forthcoming romantic drama, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.” Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film features a talented cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on Dussehra, October 2, 2025, the film is set against the vibrant backdrop of a grand Indian wedding. With its essence rooted in a traditional ‘shaadi setup’, the movie aims to bring back the enchanting charm and joy of a classic family entertainer.

In an exclusive interview with IANS, Shashank Khaitan discussed his decision-making process for the star cast and the pleasure of working with Varun Dhawan once again.

He remarked, “Honestly, there was never a dilemma regarding Varun. We co-created this narrative—it was our vision from the beginning. It would have felt strange to take this concept elsewhere. (laughs) But in all seriousness, we truly enjoy our collaborative efforts. Although this marks our third project together, it feels as though we've invested more time than that in our creative partnership. Hence, when this story emerged, the lead actors were unmistakably my top picks. With the film now completed and just days away from release, I genuinely believe we could not have wished for a more perfect cast.”
