Chennai, Feb 15 (NationPress) Shanmuga Priyan, the director of the much-anticipated romantic comedy ‘Love Marriage’, starring Vikram Prabhu and Sushmitha Bhat, announced that the filming was completed significantly ahead of the planned schedule.
In an interview with IANS, Shanmuga Priyan explained, “Initially, we estimated that the film would require 40 days for shooting. However, due to the exceptional cooperation of my cast and crew, we managed to reduce the timeline from 40 to 35 days, eventually wrapping up in just 31 days.”
In an industry where projects often exceed their time and budget, Shanmuga Priyan and his team's ability to finish filming ahead of schedule has garnered attention from industry experts.
When asked about the secret to their efficiency, he responded, ‘We filmed in Gobichettypalayam, and with a large ensemble cast, I anticipated difficulties in coordinating the combination scenes. Thankfully, every artist was incredibly accommodating, and we faced no challenges during those scenes.’
“My lead actor Vikram Prabhu played a pivotal role in our speedy progress. He is a very humble individual who was extremely cooperative. For instance, he would often refrain from retreating to his caravan after each shot, choosing instead to remain on set and wait for his turn. This greatly expedited our work.”
Besides Vikram Prabhu and Sushmitha Bhat, the film includes notable actors such as Meenakshi Dinesh, Ramesh Thilak, Aruldoss, Gajaraj, Muruganantham, and Kodangi Vadivelu in significant roles.
The narrative revolves around the humorous events that unfold when a 33-year-old bridegroom finally decides to tie the knot, leading his family to seek out a suitable match for him.
Shanmuga Priyan elaborated, “This film is not just about the issue of late marriages but also delves into the dynamics between the two families involved.”
Making his directorial debut with this project, Shanmuga Priyan previously served as an associate director for Anand Shankar on films like NOTA and Enemy, and as a co-director for Ra.Karthik on Nitham Oru Vaanam.
The film's music is composed by the current sensation of the Tamil music industry, Sean Roldan, while Madhan Christopher handles cinematography. Bharath Vikraman is taking charge of the editing, and M. Murali is responsible for production design. Set against a rural backdrop, this film is infused with elements of entertainment.
Produced by Rise East Entertainment, the same team behind last summer's blockbuster Star, this film is collaborating with Assure Films for another summer release.
