Chennai, April 17 (NationPress) It's confirmed! Renowned actor Vikram's upcoming project, currently known as #Chiyaan63, will be helmed by the acclaimed director Anand Shankar, as announced by the film's producers on Friday.

This revelation coincided with Vikram's birthday celebrations.

The film is being produced by one of the most esteemed production companies in Tamil cinema, Sathya Jyothi Films.

In a post on their social media, Sathya Jyothi Films expressed their excitement: "What begins as a FLAME concludes in a BLAZE! #Chiyaan63 FIRST FLAME unveiled now. The production team also shared a 'First Flame' video teaser that reveals Vikram's character as a cook.

The teaser begins with a voiceover where one character inquires, "Who is the individual inside?" To which another responds, "Just a cook. But don't underestimate him. He's perilous." The first voice adds, "We're here now. We will handle everything."

Visuals unfold as we see a room with all doors securely locked. Assailants attempt to break in, but the doors hold firm.

The voice warns, "We have a large team present, yet he remains completely unfazed." The assailants then throw a lit explosive into the room through a window. Vikram is displayed sitting casually on a large cooking pot, lighting a smoke while explosives explode around him.

Anand Shankar has penned the story, with production by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan.

Music for the film is being composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography managed by R D Rajasekar. Production design is handled by Rajeevan, while dialogues are written by Shan Karuppusamy.

Editing will be performed by Raymond Derrick Crasta and art direction by Surya Rajeevan. Costumes are designed by Poornima Ramaswamy.

Earlier, IANS reported in March that Anand Shankar would be directing Vikram's upcoming film.

Vikram, affectionately known as 'Chiyaan' by his fans, had announced earlier this year his intention to collaborate on four films with directors he greatly respects.

On his Instagram, Vikram shared, "Sometimes silence is preparation. I spent this year anticipating stories that resonated with me. I am thankful to now embark on four films, each distinct, with directors I admire profoundly. I can’t wait to share these journeys with all of you. Anban, Chiyaan!"

Sources close to Vikram confirmed to IANS that one of these four films would indeed be with Anand Shankar.
