Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) Stand-up comedian Vir Das, who has ventured into directing with the spy comedy film 'Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos', describes the film as a wild and self-aware journey.

As the movie gears up for its streaming debut on April 1 on Netflix, Vir expressed, “Happy Patel has always been a bit eccentric and self-reflective, and I’m thrilled it has found its place on Netflix India.”

“There’s a unique quality to comedy when it's enjoyed in one's personal space; it becomes more intimate and instinctual. What excites me the most is that this film can now reach diverse living rooms, languages, and cultural perspectives,” he added.

Vir further noted, “I’m eager to discover what viewers will take from its eccentricities—be it the humor, the chaos, or surprisingly, the emotional depth.”

Featuring co-stars Mona Singh, Imran Khan, and Mithila Palkar, with a special cameo from Aamir Khan who also produced the film, this comedy uniquely intertwines satire, meta-humor, and character-driven storytelling.

Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos was initially released in theaters on January 16, 2026, marking Imran Khan's comeback to cinema after over a decade since his role in Katti Batti.
