Mumbai, June 27 (NationPress) Actor and comedian Vir Das is set to be honored for his remarkable contributions to the Indian entertainment landscape, particularly in comedy, and his significant influence on audiences worldwide at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). The festival will celebrate its 16th edition from August 14 to 24.
Vir is poised to make his directorial debut co-directing Happy Patel, produced by Aamir Khan Films, and also stepping into the literary world with his book titled The Outsider.

Vir began his career with a performance titled Walking on Broken Das at a top hotel in New Delhi. He transitioned to television by hosting two shows: Is Route Ki Sabhin Linein Maast Hain, where he acted as an agony uncle, and his own stand-up late-night show, Ek Rahin Vir.
The comedic star has appeared on various television comedy programs, including being cast in The Great Indian Comedy Show.
