Mumbai, Nov 11 (NationPress) Renowned actress Hema Malini once shared insights about her husband, actor Dharmendra, highlighting his emotional depth. She disclosed that beneath his robust and charismatic exterior lies a gentle and sensitive soul.

During a past appearance on the talk show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai,’ Hema revealed that Dharmendra often finds himself teary-eyed while viewing nostalgic videos featuring her and their daughter, Esha Deol.

Hema was accompanied by Esha during the show, where host Farooq Shaikh asked Esha if her father, Dharmendra, watches her films. Esha mentioned that he had seen some of her promos, affectionately saying that she still appeared like a child, even commenting that she resembled a doll. When inquired if Dharmendra watches all her films, Esha admitted she hadn’t asked him yet. Hema then chimed in with a smile, stating, “You know the issue is, he won’t watch them. He becomes very emotional. Whenever I show him our dance videos, he starts to tear up. He’s a deeply emotional person — I doubt he can manage to watch an entire film.”

The 'Sholay' star made a special appearance in the episode via video link, where he took a moment to express his admiration for Hema Malini. Dharmendra affectionately confessed, “I have spent 40 years in this industry. I’ve collaborated with many actors. Yet, there was no more beautiful woman on this silver screen. I might not say this openly, but after you, I’ve found no one else. You have truly ruled the silver screen for over three decades, embodying dignity.

“You are non-demanding. You have never caused harm to anyone. As someone who is extraordinarily emotional, I must say, you have sacrificed much to bring joy to those around you, sometimes at the expense of your own feelings,” Dharmendra added.

For those unaware, Hema Malini and Dharmendra wed in a quiet nikah ceremony in 1980, a marriage that sparked significant controversy. At the time, Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four children: Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, and Vijaya.

The love story of Dharmendra and Hema Malini blossomed in the 1970s while they collaborated on “Tum Haseen Main Jawan.” They went on to feature in several successful films, during which Dharmendra reportedly fell for Hema, despite being married with children.
