Mumbai, Nov 11 (NationPress) Contestant of Bigg Boss 19, Abhishek Bajaj, has been navigating a complex relationship with fellow contestant Kunickaa Sadanand. The 33-year-old actor, who initially had a contentious relationship with Sadanand, found himself in another heated verbal exchange where both parties crossed lines of civility. Bajaj was accused of age-shaming the 61-year-old actress, a remark that caught the attention of host Salman Khan during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode.

Following his eviction from the house, Abhishek spoke exclusively with IANS, where he defended his actions, stating he did not engage in age-shaming. “I don’t understand what the uproar is about. She is 65 years old and a grandmother. I called her 'grandmother' out of respect, as I cherish my own grandmother dearly,” he explained.

He elaborated, “Kunickaa expects us to always listen to her without question. However, she also portrays herself as independent and a ‘gundi’ (don). Naturally, we will express our opinions respectfully but in our own way. This is not an old age home where we are obligated to care for her.” For those unfamiliar, a recent episode of Bigg Boss Season 19 featured a fierce debate between Abhishek Bajaj and Kunickaa Sadanand.

Kunickaa had declined to perform household tasks assigned by Captain Mridul Tiwari and was frustrated with him for choosing to save Abhishek and Ashnoor Kaur, despite their infractions of Bigg Boss house rules. This decision resulted in Kunickaa and others facing nominations.

During the argument, Abhishek crossed the line by age-shaming Kunickaa. He was seen singing the well-known song, ‘Dadi Amma, Dadi Amma, Maan Jao’, adding a mocking twist and insinuating that Kunickaa should exit the house. This behavior did not sit well with viewers, who deemed his comments disrespectful and inappropriate.

Despite attempts from close friends and co-contestants Gaurav Khanna and Pranit More to reason with him, Abhishek stood his ground, arguing with Pranit, who was merely trying to help him recognize his errors. Kunickaa had previously supported both Ashnoor and Abhishek in various situations.

However, upon discovering Abhishek's disparaging remarks about her, she felt betrayed and chose to withdraw her support for both. In an additional episode, Kunickaa also crossed boundaries by referring to Abhishek as a “33-year-old Buddha (old man)” and made further remarks about his connection with much younger Ashnoor Kaur.
