New Delhi, Nov 24 (NationPress) Politicians from various parties expressed profound sorrow on Monday following the loss of veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra, who died earlier that day at a Mumbai hospital at the age of 89.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh shared his condolences on X, stating, "I am deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary Hindi film actor and former MP Shri Dharmendra ji. He infused life into numerous unforgettable roles with his unique charm and authenticity. His extraordinary impact on Indian cinema will be cherished forever. My deepest sympathies go to his grieving family and numerous fans," he wrote.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Dharmendra's departure as an "unreplaceable loss for the Indian film industry," noting that the actor had touched the hearts of the public for over six decades through his exceptional performances.

"Emerging from a humble background, he established a permanent identity in the film sector. Dharmendra ji was among those exceptional artists who brought every role to life, capturing the hearts of millions across generations. His art ensures he will always be with us. May God grant him a place at His divine abode and provide strength to his family and fans during this time of grief," he added.
