Bangalore, March 4 (NationPress) The production team behind director Geethu Mohandas's eagerly awaited action-drama, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', starring Yash, has officially declared that the film's release has been delayed to June 4 of this year due to rising tensions in the Middle East.

Originally, the film was set for a global premiere on March 19.

KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations made the announcement regarding the strategic change in the film's global theatrical release following advice from their key distribution partner, Phars Films.

The decision to push back the release comes in response to increasing unrest and the resulting impact on cinema operations in the Gulf region, which is a crucial market for the film's multi-language rollout.

The producers have been closely observing the fast-developing regional situation with great care. This situation arises just as they were preparing for a major trailer launch event scheduled for March 8 in Bangalore, attended by media from across the nation.

Prior to this, the team had finalized the promotional schedule for the film's initial release date of March 19.

Although the film's first single, 'Tabaahi', was ready to debut on March 2, the team decided to withhold the music video and temporarily pause the promotional activities that were set to commence shortly.

In an official statement, KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations expressed, "'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' is a project we envisioned to create cinema for an international audience. Filmed in both Kannada and English, it aims to resonate with viewers both locally and globally."

They further stated, "After years of hard work, we were thrilled to share our film with everyone on March 19. However, the current uncertainties, particularly in the Middle East, have led to a situation that affects our goal of reaching a broad audience. Thus, in consideration of our partners and audience, we have made the tough but thoughtful choice to reschedule our release."

Expressing gratitude towards the audience for their understanding, they added, "We appreciate your patience and look forward to your ongoing support. 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' will now hit theaters worldwide in English and Indian languages on June 4, 2026. See you at the cinema!"

For those who are unaware, 'Toxic' not only features Yash but also includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in significant roles.

Written by Yash and directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film has been shot in both Kannada and English, with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, highlighting its global aspirations.
