Mumbai, Sep 29 (NationPress) Zareen Khan is preparing for her debut on the short drama platform with the series “Phir Se Restart”. The actress highlighted that the filming process was swift, the idea was invigorating, and she had the unique opportunity to portray herself.

Reflecting on her experience with Pocket TV’s ‘Phir Se Restart’, Zareen mentioned, “This was my first foray into a vertical short drama format. The entire experience was incredibly enjoyable.”

In this short drama, Zareen embodies the role of a celebrated actress who finds herself dissatisfied with her costume designer’s work, leading her to seize the moment and seek out raw talent.

She initiates a distinctive contest, granting aspiring designers the chance to display their creativity.

The actress expressed, “The shoot was swift, the concept was invigorating, and I had the pleasure of playing myself in Phir Se Restart, Zareen Khan the actress. It was a fresh and exciting experience that I genuinely relished. Short dramas have finally made their presence felt in India.”

Zareen further stated, “Today, almost everyone possesses a smartphone, and Pocket TV is delivering content directly to audiences’ hands, which I believe is the optimal way to engage with viewers.”

As an artist, she is determined not to remain in her comfort zone.

“I made my debut in a short drama series with Pocket TV, and I am eager to maintain a long-term relationship with them, particularly because the collaborative experience was fantastic. I am open to future projects together.”

Zareen first appeared on screen in 2010 with the action film Veer, starring Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. She later featured in the widely recognized item number Character Dheela in the 2011 action comedy Ready and enjoyed significant success with the 2012 comedy Housefull 2.

Following that, she starred in the 2014 Punjabi film Jatt James Bond and returned to Hindi cinema in the 2015 erotic thriller Hate Story 3. In 2019, she ventured into Telugu cinema with the action thriller Chanakya.

Her latest appearance on the big screen was in the 2021 film “Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele”, directed by Harish Vyas. This film features Anshuman Jha, Zareen Khan, along with Ravi Khanvilkar, Gurfateh Pirzada, and Nitin Sharma in supporting roles.
