Kabul, Dec 12 (NationPress) Tragic news has emerged from eastern Afghanistan's Nuristan province, where two individuals have lost their lives, and six more have sustained injuries following a passenger vehicle's plunge into a ravine, according to local law enforcement.
The incident took place on Thursday in the Kordar region of Wama district, as the car veered off the roadway due to a mechanical failure, resulting in its descent into a steep ravine, stated provincial police representative Ahmad Bashir Barakzada during an interview with Xinhua.
In a report from Wednesday, local authorities indicated that at least two individuals were killed, and 16 others were injured in various traffic accidents across Afghanistan within a 24-hour span.
In Baghlan province's Dushi district, a head-on crash between two vehicles resulted in one fatality and left four injured. Moreover, in Wardak province, two separate accidents led to one death and five injuries.
In another incident in the Hazrat Sultan district of Samangan province, seven individuals were injured in a crash.
