Bali Issues Alert for High Wave Conditions

Jakarta, Dec 5 (NationPress) Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency, via its Denpasar branch in Bali province, has issued an early alert regarding high waves that could rise up to four metres, anticipated to occur in the southern waters of the popular resort island.

The high waves are projected to take place from December 5 to 8 in the southern sections of the Bali Strait, Badung Strait, northern and southern parts of the Lombok Strait, as well as the southern waters of Bali, according to an official forecaster from the agency in Denpasar, as reported by local media.

The agency cautioned fishing vessels and ferries to remain vigilant due to the potential for increased wind speeds, according to Xinhua news agency.

Bali, renowned as Indonesia's most celebrated resort island, is famous for its stunning beaches and waves. The island typically sees a surge in international tourists during the holiday season.
