The city's meteorological agency elevated the rainstorm warning level from orange to red, marking the highest tier in China's alert system, at noon on Monday. They forecast extensive heavy rainfall from 8 PM until Tuesday morning, predicting that most areas will receive more than 150 mm of rain in just six hours, with some locations potentially exceeding 300 mm.
