Bangkok, Oct 9 (NationPress) India's Ambassador to Thailand, Nagesh Singh, on Thursday underscored India's remarkable economic and technological advancements during his address at the session titled 'The Dynamics of Change: India's Economic Journey in the 21st Century' at the Asia Partnership Forum 2025 held in Bangkok.
He stressed that through a series of transformative reforms based on democratic ideals, India is progressing towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The Ambassador's address, titled 'The Dynamics of Change: India's Economic Journey in the 21st Century', was part of an event organized by the Chulalongkorn Alumni Association and the India Studies Centre of Chulalongkorn University. In his speech, he emphasized the country's economic and technological strides and the critical reforms being implemented to achieve the Viksit Bharat goal by 2047, as highlighted by the Indian Embassy in Bangkok on X.
Singh also elaborated on the numerous opportunities for collaboration between India and Thailand in various sectors including education, technology, infrastructure, and defence.
Additionally, last month, the Embassy of India in Bangkok successfully organized the 'Viksit Bharat Run 2025', themed 'Run to Serve the Nation', celebrating community spirit, engagement, and sustainability.
This three-kilometre community run in Bangkok attracted enthusiastic participation from the Indian diaspora, local Thai community, and friends of India worldwide, with around 300 participants coming together to symbolize the importance of collective effort and solidarity for sustainable progress.
In April 2025, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Thailand, the two nations elevated their relations to a Strategic Partnership, marking a new era of enhanced cooperation.
The bilateral relationship between India and Thailand is comprehensive, encompassing various sectors such as trade and investment, defence and security, connectivity, culture and tourism, education, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges. Moreover, Thailand's 'Act West' policy aligns harmoniously with India's 'Act East' initiative.
