Kuala Lumpur, Oct 27 (NationPress) External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar had a significant meeting with Vietnam's Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung during the East Asia Summit (EAS) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The two leaders focused on enhancing their strategic partnership and advancing bilateral economic relations.
In a post shared on X, EAM Jaishankar expressed, "A first meeting with FM Le Hoai Trung of Vietnam. Discussed deepening of our strategic partnership and bilateral economic engagement." Earlier in September, EAM Jaishankar congratulated Le Hoai Trung and the people of Vietnam on their National Day, remarking on the steady growth of their strategic partnership.
He stated on X, "Congratulations to Acting FM Le Hoai Trung, the Government and the people of Vietnam on the 80th anniversary of their National Day. Our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is growing steadily from strength to strength." EAM Jaishankar, who presented India's national statement at the East Asia Summit, also met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the same day.
Additionally, he held talks with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. The discussions encompassed the expansion of bilateral ties and a commitment to closely work towards realizing the joint vision for the next decade of India-Japan cooperation.
After their meeting, EAM Jaishankar posted on X, "Delighted to meet FM Motegi Toshimitsu of Japan. Held wide-ranging discussions on our bilateral ties.
