New Delhi, May 1 (NationPress) External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar on Thursday expressed his sincere appreciation to South Korea for its unwavering support in the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack.
In a phone call with his South Korean counterpart Cho Taeyul, the EAM highlighted the urgent need to tackle terrorism in all its forms.
"I spoke with Foreign Minister Cho Taeyul of South Korea this morning. I thanked him for the Republic of Korea's (ROK) backing and solidarity following the Pahalgam terror attack. I stressed the importance of countering terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," EAM shared on X.
The brutal incident on April 22 resulted in the tragic loss of 26 innocent tourists and left several others critically injured, occurring in the scenic Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam.
Four heavily armed terrorists, two of whom were from Pakistan, emerged from the surrounding dense forests and opened fire indiscriminately on the tourists.
