This marks the second occurrence of targeted killings this year involving Pakistani individuals working across the Iranian border. Earlier in January, nine Pakistani nationals were murdered by unidentified gunmen in southeastern Iran.
Sources indicate that this latest attack occurred in the village of Hizabad Paein, located approximately five kilometers from Mehrestan in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province.
Reports suggest that the deceased were engaged in work at a car repair shop, with one source confirming that among the victims were a father and his two sons.
