Mumbai, Oct 26 (NationPress) Acclaimed actress Neena Gupta has discovered a swimming buddy in Soni Razdan. The 'Panchayat' star showcased a delightful swimming session with Razdan in a video posted on her Instagram.

Neena captioned the video, "Soni ji & Neena ji," inviting smiles from both Razdan and her designer daughter, Masaba Gupta, who shared a laughing emoji in the comments.

On another note, Razdan celebrated her birthday on Saturday surrounded by her husband, Mahesh Bhatt, family, and close friends.

She shared a heartfelt message about friendship with a quote from Thomas Aquinas, stating, “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” She expressed gratitude to the universe for her treasured connections, alongside red heart emojis.

Razdan's daughter, actress Alia Bhatt, also paid tribute to her mother with a touching post, calling her “mama birdie”. Alia wrote, “You are our whole universe and you light it up every… single… day.”

Alia shared two candid photos of her and her mother, highlighting their bond.

Meanwhile, Neena has been vocal about the scarcity of roles for actors of her age. During a discussion at FICCI Frames 2025, she reminisced about a time when she received numerous age-appropriate roles.

“I got a lot of roles. I enjoyed it a lot. In my age, the makers couldn't write anything. They couldn't write anything for us. So, I got a lot of good roles. I did a lot of work. And then what happened? Suddenly, the project for which I had said yes—that project didn't come back,” she recounted.

Neena added, “So, what happened? Suddenly, all the big film producers, successful film producers, they entered into it. Because kids used to get money. They entered into it. And the small budget OTT film producers, who used to tell me stories, they were left shocked. I still have work.”
