Sydney, July 31 (NationPress) A man was tragically shot dead in what is believed to be a targeted attack on Thursday in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, located in Australia's state of Victoria.
Authorities in Victoria reported that the 21-year-old male victim was approached and shot by an unidentified assailant in a laneway behind a residence in Wollert, approximately 24 km north of central Melbourne, shortly before 9 am local time, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
Emergency responders rushed in and attempted to revive the young man; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter escaped in a vehicle.
