Shooting Incident in Melbourne Leaves One Dead and Two Injured

Sydney, Dec 21 (NationPress) A tragic shooting in Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria, Australia, has left one man dead and two others injured.
Authorities were alerted to a location in Campbellfield, situated 15 km north of central Melbourne, at 10:10 p.m. local time on Friday night following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, police discovered a 60-year-old man with serious and life-threatening injuries.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
According to a statement released by Victoria Police on Saturday morning, two men aged 22 and 20 are currently under police supervision in the hospital.
The police noted that these two individuals came to their attention after being admitted to the hospital with injuries and are set to be interviewed regarding the shooting incident.
"At this moment, it is believed that the incident was targeted and that the individuals involved are familiar with one another," police stated.
Detectives from the homicide unit have established a crime scene at the location, and the investigation is ongoing as further information is anticipated.
Previously, on December 12, two teenagers in Australia were apprehended in a separate case believed to be connected to a vehicle crash, car fire, and shooting in western Sydney.
Authorities in New South Wales reported that officers responded to gunfire at a barbershop in Mount Druitt, approximately 40 kilometers west of central Sydney, at around 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, according to Xinhua news agency.
Upon their arrival, police found multiple bullet holes in the shop's window.
The shooting incident was reported shortly after the arrest of two 17-year-old teens at the site of a crashed vehicle in a nearby suburb.
