Colombo, Dec 11 (NationPress) The Indian Army has intensified its humanitarian initiatives in Sri Lanka following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah. This effort includes the rapid restoration of affected bridges, re-establishing connectivity, and bolstering on-site medical assistance as part of Operation Sagar Bandhu.
The relief operations are being executed in close collaboration with the Sri Lankan Army and local civil authorities.

On Wednesday, the Indian Army successfully restored a vital Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) network in Mahiyanganaya near Kandy, which had resulted in a significant communications blackout in the area.
The repair, carried out by the Shatrujeet Brigade Integrated Task Force, reinstated crucial connectivity for the affected populations.
