Jerusalem, June 9 (NationPress) The Israeli military announced the recovery of Mohammed Sinwar, the leader of Hamas' military faction, from a tunnel situated in the southern Gaza Strip, subsequently transporting his remains to Israel.
According to a statement released on Sunday, the military confirmed that "the body of Mohammed Sinwar was found within the underground tunnel system beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis."
On May 13, Sinwar, along with Muhammad Shabaneh, the commander of Hamas' Rafah Brigade, was reported dead due to an operation conducted by the Israeli military and the Shin Bet intelligence agency, as stated in the report.
