Washington, Jan 20 (NationPress) The return of US President Donald Trump to the White House signifies that the American dream is "alive and well," according to Kash Patel, who has been nominated to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Speaking to a packed arena of the President's supporters on Monday, Patel expressed his enthusiasm.

"Today, we have received a divine gift to initiate a new dynasty, as we have inaugurated Donald J Trump as our 47th President and J.D. Vance as the Vice President of the United States," Patel declared shortly after the ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda.

"This is a testament to the American Dream being vibrant and alive, as you have chosen this dream to be a legacy for our children and a vision for our global community," he continued.

Patel shared his personal journey, illustrating the essence of the American Dream. "My parents hail from East Africa and are originally from India. My father escaped a genocidal regime in Uganda during the 1970s, witnessing the tragic murder of 300,000 fellow citizens. He fled, recognizing the dangers of unchecked lawlessness undermining constitutional justice, and, like many others, sought refuge here. They patiently stood in line because the American Dream was a pursuit worth waiting for," he recounted.

"I stand before you today because of the American Dream," he emphasized. "My presence here is not due to my ethnicity; it's the result of my hard work and your determination to join me here today."

Patel, a former public defender, has experienced a rapid rise through the ranks in Washington DC, serving as the Chief of Staff at the Department of Defence and Deputy Director of National Intelligence during Trump's first term.

Trump is now set to lead the FBI, an agency that previously investigated him for allegations regarding the improper handling of classified documents after his presidency ended in 2021 and for attempts to contest his 2020 electoral loss to President Joe Biden.
