Almaty, Aug 19 (NationPress) The Defence Ministry of Kazakhstan has revealed the formation of a dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) unit designed to expedite the digital transformation of the nation's military.

As per the ministry's announcement on Monday, this unit will focus on creating AI solutions for large-scale data analysis, automated command systems, operational modeling, and facilitating real-time decision-making during combat scenarios, according to Xinhua News Agency.

"Following the directives from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and aimed at improving management efficiency, streamlining processes, and bolstering defense capabilities, the Ministry of Defence has established a specialized unit tasked with the implementation and advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies," stated the ministry.

This unit will collaborate with both local and global research institutions, universities, and IT firms to integrate AI technologies into defense systems, thereby fostering a national framework for military AI applications.
