Seoul, July 3 (NationPress) Kim Min-seok has been formally designated as the Prime Minister of South Korea on Thursday following a significant endorsement from the National Assembly. The Assembly voted overwhelmingly, with a result of 173-3 and three invalid votes, to approve the four-term lawmaker selected by President Lee Jae Myung, marking him as the first to hold this position in the new administration.
The confirmation motion was boycotted by the main opposition party, People Power Party (PPP), protesting allegations of impropriety regarding his wealth and family matters.
