Representing the Government of India at the inauguration of Chile's new President Jose Antonio Kast Rist in Valparaiso, Singh reiterated India's commitment to enhancing its partnership with Chile for mutual prosperity and international collaboration, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
"It was an honor to represent India at the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony in Valparaiso. India congratulates the people of Chile on this crucial democratic achievement. We remain dedicated to strengthening our partnership with Chile for shared prosperity and global cooperation," Singh noted on X.
Additionally, he met with Rist, delivering greetings from President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Singh reaffirmed India's commitment to a strong partnership with Chile, focusing on areas such as trade, technology, mining, development cooperation, and people-to-people connections.
Singh also engaged with former President Gabriel Boric Font. During these discussions, both parties agreed to further enhance collaboration in key sectors like trade, investment, health & pharmaceuticals, traditional medicine, science and technology, mining, education, space, agriculture, and cultural exchanges. They also expressed interest in diversifying bilateral relations in contemporary areas such as Digital Public Infrastructure, innovation, and green energy, as reported by the MEA.
