He recited his father's words: "We are well. I am a fighter."
President Maduro and his spouse, Cilia Flores, are currently detained in the United States following military operations executed by U.S. forces in Caracas and three other Venezuelan cities on January 3, which led to their capture. These operations have sparked global outrage and concern, according to reports from Xinhua news agency.
Maduro Guerra asserted that his father remains unyielded, adding that the government and its supporters are united and resilient.
"The strength of Chavismo lies in unity. No matter what occurs, we must stay united," he stated.
Venezuela's acting president, Delcy Rodriguez, pledged on Saturday to work towards the return of Maduro and his wife. While at a community gathering in Miranda state, Rodriguez affirmed the certainty surrounding Venezuela's leadership and governing agenda.
"There is no uncertainty here. The Venezuelan populace is in command, and there exists a government led by President Nicolas Maduro," she declared, urging for unity to ensure peace, stability, and the nation's future.
Rodriguez promised not to rest for a moment until Maduro and Flores return to Venezuela.
She recalled that a year ago, she was inaugurated alongside Maduro at the beginning of his third term, emphasizing, "today, one year later, we are swearing for his freedom."
Rodriguez stated that national unity is crucial in what she termed the effort to "rescue" Maduro, reaffirming that her administration continues to carry out the seven lines of action set forth by Maduro.
