Jerusalem, Oct 13 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump on Monday lauded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, referring to him as a remarkable figure and a man of extraordinary courage and patriotism.

During his significant address at the Israeli Knesset, Trump stated, "I wish to express my thanks to a man of exceptional courage and patriotism whose collaboration greatly contributed to making this historic day a reality. You know who I’m talking about; there’s only one: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."

He subsequently invited Netanyahu to stand, to the enthusiastic applause of the Knesset members. Trump remarked, "And, he is not simple. I must say, he’s not the easiest person to work with. But, that’s what makes him outstanding... Thank you very much, Bibi. Excellent work."

The US President emphasized that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, along with the return of hostages, signifies not just the conclusion of conflict but the cessation of terror and loss. He described it as the inception of a great concord and enduring peace for Israel.

"This marks not only the end of a war. It signifies the termination of an era of terror and death and the commencement of an era filled with faith, hope, and divine guidance. It's the beginning of a grand concord and lasting peace for Israel and all the nations that will soon become a truly magnificent region. I have a strong belief in this. This is a historic dawn for a new Middle East," he asserted.

Commenting on the return of hostages, Trump stated, "After two harrowing years in darkness and captivity, 20 brave hostages are returning to the joyous embrace of their families, and it is magnificent. 28 more treasured individuals are finally coming home to rest in this sacred land for eternity. Following years of relentless war and peril, today the skies are serene, the guns are quiet, the sirens are hushed, and the sun rises on a Holy Land that is at peace at last."

He expressed gratitude towards the Arab and Muslim nations that pressured Hamas to release the hostages. He labeled it an extraordinary victory for Israel and a triumph for nations collaborating for peace.

"Let me extend my sincere appreciation to all the Arab and Muslim nations that united to exert pressure on Hamas to release the hostages and bring them home. We received considerable assistance from many unexpected quarters, and I want to thank them immensely for that. It's a remarkable triumph for Israel and the world that all these nations worked together as partners in peace.

"It's quite rare to witness such unity, but it occurred in this instance. This was a truly exceptional moment in time, a brilliant turning point. Future generations will remember this as the moment when everything began to transform for the better, akin to the USA right now. It will herald the golden age of Israel and the golden age of the Middle East," he concluded.
