Massive Blaze in Southern California Devours Almost 4,000 Acres

Los Angeles, Dec 12 (NationPress) The massive blaze in Malibu, Southern California persists, consuming nearly 4,000 acres, according to the municipal authorities of Malibu.
The fire, referred to as the Franklin Fire, ignited on Monday evening close to Malibu Creek State Park in Los Angeles County, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
By Wednesday morning, the fire expanded by an additional 600 acres. Over 1,500 firefighters have been deployed to combat the flames, as stated by city officials.
Approximately 18,000 individuals and 8,100 residences and businesses are currently under evacuation orders or advisories, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna during a press briefing on Tuesday. Several shelters are available for those displaced.
A Red Flag Warning remains active until Thursday afternoon, as per the announcement from the city of Malibu. Currently, the fire is reported to be 7 percent contained.
