Meeting of PMs from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan Focuses on Enhanced Collaboration

Bishkek, Jan 9 (NationPress) A trilateral meeting was convened among Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, as reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.
The meeting occurred on Wednesday at the convergence of the three nations' borders, specifically in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, the Fergana region of Uzbekistan, and the Sughd region of Tajikistan, according to a report from Xinhua news agency.
During the encounter, the three leaders acknowledged that this meeting was conducted under the framework of previous agreements regarding state border issues established by the heads of state.
The prime ministers asserted that there exists significant potential for enhanced collaboration in critical sectors such as trade, logistics, water and energy, along with cultural and humanitarian ties. They highlighted that a vital facet of cooperation is the advancement of cross-border and interregional collaboration, which will serve as a catalyst for improved interactions among the nations.
Furthermore, the three parties noted the successful conclusion of their border delimitation process and the exchange of instruments of ratification concerning the agreement on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.
The agreement regarding the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, dated December 4, 2024, underscored the critical importance of finalizing the delineation of the remaining segments of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, with working groups tasked to prepare final documents promptly.
In the aftermath of the meeting, the heads of government expressed optimism that the discussions would shape the region's future for years to come, aimed at enhancing the prosperity of their peoples and countries.
