Washington, Jan 30 (NationPress) Democratic US lawmaker Ro Khanna announced on Wednesday that his Republican counterpart, Rich McCormick, will take over as the co-chair of the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on India, succeeding Mike Walz, who is now serving as the National Security Adviser to President Donald Trump.
Representatives Andy Barr and Marc Veasey will maintain their roles as vice co-chairs, while Brad Sherman, the former chair, will continue to serve as chair emeritus.
The India caucus aims to enhance the partnership between the U.S. and India. It reached an all-time high of 145 members during the previous 118th Congress, with the addition of 35 new members.
